The 130th anniversary of the birth of Jaroslav Hašek

Jaroslav Hašek is author of novel "The Good Soldier Švejk" (also spelled Schweik or Schwejk). The original Czech title of the work is Osudy dobrého vojáka Švejka za světové války, literally The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk During the World War.

We were delighted to celebrate this anniversary in our hotel as well, and to welcome a press conference on 24th April 2013 with the participation of Richard Hašek (grandson of Jaroslav Hašek), Radko Pytlík (literary historian), Pavel Filip (co-author of the Catch XXII project), Naďa Dvorská (producer of audiobook of Vojta Dyk - Jaroslav Hašek "Povídky o zvířatech"), Oldřich Lomecký (mayor of Prague 1) and Pavla Pěkná (general manager of our hotel).
